Jackie Tyson will be at our stand ready to chat to you about her career, her inside secrets, why she’s a supporter of the new Safe Beauty Association and get the chance to WIN a personal session with her at her new makeup school.

Jackie Tyson, celebrity makeup artist and Chief Makeup Artist for X-Factor has worked for over 20 years in the beauty industry and has worked with some of the biggest names in music, television and film. Daniel Craig, Sienna Miller, Sharon Osbourne, Lily Allen, Avril Lavigne, Bat for Lashes, Dannie Minogue, Coldplay, Snow Patrol and Yoko Ono are just a few of the celebrity clients who have benefitted from her skills. Jackie has travelled the world working with her clients, but closer to home she is Chief Makeup Designer for both The X-Factor and Britain’s Got Talent and is also Avon’s Chief Celebrity Makeup Artist.

Her new makeup school offers courses including one-week intensive basic training; two-day bridal makeup; one-day mother and daughter workshops; and one-day tutorials where clients can bring in their own makeup bag and let the professionals show how to use it to its maximum potential!

DAVID HORNE, SATURDAY 30 AND SUNDAY 31 JANUARY 2010 – ALL DAY!

David Horne has 20 years of experience as a sought after creative catwalk makeup artist/designer, specialising in directional makeup, confident in dealing with all areas of fashion, trend and editorial beauty makeup. David will be showing visitors to IMATS how to practice makeup up safely supporting the new Safe Beauty Association’s Code of Practice whilst retaining creativity and professionalism.

He is Director of Education at Jemma Kidd Make Up School and advocates safe beauty practices alongside continuous education and inspiration, as the perfect platform to foster confidence within professional makeup art. On appointment to the Safe Beauty Association Council David said: “Throughout my career the fundamental question I have been continually asked is how to achieve flawless skin. The quest for perfect skin is of course due to inherited DNA but also skincare and safe hygiene practices add their contribution. Beauty and self esteem and confidence are interlinked. Educating audiences how to make cosmetics safe, hygienic and effectively reduce bacteria in cosmetics and subsequently upon the skin will help people get closer to the aspiration of flawless skin and if I can help people achieve that and build their self esteem in that process then I can think of no better reason to be a professional makeup artist. To that effect I am proud to support the Safe Beauty Association and look forward to meeting everyone at IMATS.'
